Can you still use TikTok?

I read news about TikTok. Was it banned in the US? I read that it was banned. I am not sure if this is true. Today something weird happened to it. I used a different app and TikTok started to talk by itself. Some lives started even if I was not on that app. I think this app will be banned here too. I don't trust it because it starts by itself. I close the app and it keeps talking. Did this happen to you? Many people earn a lot of money with this app. They will have to find a job if the app will be banned.

I'm still using tiktok because thats how I get people to look at my books and buy them.

@dya80dya it depends on the day. I can get up to 200 or more views. It comes down to a few different things.

I never use it, and no plan to use it. So I don't know what is the status and only read it through the web.

I just read a report that says that TikTok is tracking us on our phones even if we never installed TikTok. That is really scary. I think China is raising havoc among teens and their families with those ridiculous challenges that take some kids' lives and destroys public property, especially in schools. I don't know why the government allows this.

@dya80dya Well, if you manage to find the good in the tiktok, maybe you can use it for good use. For me, I don't find any use of that so I pass.

From what I understand, the Feds want to ban it in America. Right now, it is just talk, I don't think they will do it yet. I am in favor of banning it. It is run by the CCP and I think it is spying on Americans. Besides that, we have lost a number of teenagers who took part in stupid challenges. Also, they have raised havoc in other ways such as by destroying school property and causing major damages.

@dya80dya I don't quite understand why a teenager will do something to endanger their life just because someone posts a challenge. I know teen brains are not fully formed but don't they ever think that would be dangerous and I'm not doing it?

I have never used it. And it should be banned everywhere. China owns it and is using any personal information used on the app. Very dangerous.

I never use that app even though lot of my friend use it. That app looks like don't protect someone work, so people can reupload others people videos. But this is just opinion.
