This is book #5 in Lisa Regan's series of Detective Josie Quinn novels. It's only the second one I've read but I look forward to reading them all. I've been told I should read them in order but I take them as I get them.

Josie and her partner Noah arrive for dinner at his family's home to find Noah's mother, Colette, lying lifeless in the back garden, her mouth clogged with soil.
They search the house for answers as it seems a bit in disarray. They find a hidden file labelled "Drew Pratt", who is the small town of Denton's most famous missing person.
Since Noah and his family are mourning the loss of their mother, Josie has limited resources to help her with this case. She investigates Pratt only to find that he had a brother who also went missing. Is it possible that Noah's mother had something to do with their murders? And will Josie's new relationship with Noah survive the accusation?

This story got a little complicated as every lead Josie got, someone was one step ahead of her killing another person. In the end, I didn't know how all these people were connected to the original story.
And as is the norm for whodunnits, I tried to figure out who the killer was. I came really, really close, but was a little bit wrong. Just a little bit.
This is another great detective novel by Lisa Regan who writes seamless mysteries, and adds a little bit of romance just to make things interesting.
Again, I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series. Highly recommend.
