Hello my friends, how is your morning?..I woke up this morning to tend to my farm. I did scouting on my vegetables and onions then went ahead with weading my maize crop. Exactly at 8:00am I went back home to check on my poultry if there's any egg to collect but they haven't lay any egg, I'll wait till midday,by that time all of them will give an egg.

Haha, I'm really glad to see them being taken care of so well by you. There are also 10 hens in my family. My father and mother take care of them. My mother goes to the chicken house twice a day to store the eggs in the refrigerator

That's nice,I never knew eggs can be stored in a refrigerator, don't you think that temperature in the refrigerator will kill the embryo in case they are fertilized eggs?

@Maxveg Our eggs are eaten by ourselves, and we don't hatch chickens, so it doesn't matter whether they are fertilized or not. And there are no cocks in our chicken coop, so all our eggs are unfertilized.

The backyard to table farming method is brilliant. You have plenty of chickens, lots of eggs i'm sure. We have a few but we don't cage them.

Cages are best for large chicken farms I think—less labor, less cost, and higher quality eggs.

I also don't cage them, they do free range after laying..caging is like putting them in a cell, it's recommended that chicken should roam around for insects and greens.

Hope you get some eggs to collect in the mid noon. It's been a good Wednesday so far. It is afternoon now and the weather is pleasant. I might go for a long walk after my afternoon nap.
