Utter commotion

I had written a few days ago about that stray cat that had littered in the room where we keep cardboard boxes that would be sent to the incinerator eventually. The gardener spotted those babies and all was well until a rat got in and the gardener without knowing the cat was there went in to chase it And that frightened the cat. The cat has now shifted her babies to another location but notice she is bringing them back and forth and the most concerned is Peppie our pet cat who is the father I am helpless as, if we interfere the mother cat will abandon those babies. I am keeping my fingers crossed until they grow and are ready for solid food. This scenario is disturbing me no end I have not seen those kittens yet and hoping they are all alive and growing But I am happy that the cat comes for her food.

Yes it is a worry indeed. Yet, we cannot interfere I know.

I do hope the kittens are all safe. I remember our mother cat taking her babies inside our bedroom because we have placed them in an open area where they could be attacked. So, what we did was to provide an enclose and closed place with wires, where they were aptly protected, and the mother cat stopped carrying them around.

We just cleared that room of all boxes and have provided a single box large enough. Hoping she will get back there.

I hope momma and babies will be okay. My little dog killed a rat the other day.

We though there were no rats around as we never saw any atleast for two years but suddenly we spotted this one. It entered that room and the gardener went there with a stick not knowing the cat was there. Now we really do not know where the babies are. Cats are unpredictable I will only wait and fact whatever is in store.

I hope she the mother cat is still taking care of those kittens. Maybe she has them in a safe place.
