African Violets

African violets are easy to grow. They bloom throughout the year and need no repotting A normal enviornment is all what is required They are propagated through leaf cuttings and come in many colours. But they are called violets as most have the hue of the violet colour The pots in which they can grow could be small and many are kept on window sills. I had them a few years ago. A lovely gift to be given for birthdays and other milestone memories. @allknowing I have two small pots..there are no blooms as of now. I guess I had posted one picture of them here some time back

My grandmother used to grow those. They never lasted that long, when I had them.

I have had a lot of those over the years; purple, lilac, blue, pink, green, miniature ones. They don't do so well in our current house unfortunately.

@allknowing they don't grow outdoors here, too cold. They were all in the house.

Rather than giving flowers giving plants is a better idea.
