I 'discovered' Cabo Blanco by going to my eye doctor when the former was on Oakland Park Boulevard in a shopping center just west of Dixie Highway. A few years later they moved to their new location which wasn't as convenient as the old one but after going to the Regal Cinemas which was near 62nd street we would go to Cabo Blanco. I do know that I eventually had all of their 30 luncheon specials https://caboblancocypress.business.site/ and 'fell in love' with number 26--Tallarin Saltado con Camerones--Shrimp, fresh tomatoes, green peppers, onions, scallions, spices, soy sauce served on linguini and I have had it an uncountable number times since I discovered it! When COVID hit we stopped going to the Regal theatres and Cabo Blanco staying closer to The Gateway and AMC Coral Ridge theatres. There wasn't any movie we wanted to see and had Friday free so we decided to take the 7-mile trip there from my place and I am so glad we did. The restaurant is as good as ever. At lunchtime they serve a cup of fresh chicken soup--watch for the bones!--and I had the number 26! They have gone up a little in price but it still was loaded with Shrimp and fresh-cut vegetables, piled high on the pasta and was as delicious as ever!
