Our family spent 2 days in the metro proper for a short staycation. We booked a small condo unit in Pasig City and stayed there with our kids. I so enjoyed the pool as it's been really hot here the past few weeks. (The dry season has commenced.) We did not do any serious shopping but we did go to a mall and to see what other shops might be interesting.
Part of the reason why we chose to stay in the city for a while was to meet up with real estate brokers and to learn the ins and outs of the community area. We are hoping to relocate to the city proper by middle of the year so we've been looking for a small apartment to stay in. Thankfully we found a condo unit on the 4th floor that's just 2 blocks away from my husband's future work assignment and my kids' new school. The landlady is super nice and she seems to prefer us as future tenants. I hope we get to close the deal by June.
The real estate broker gave us a tour of the condominium as well. She showed us this really nice 2-bedroom corner unit on the 27th floor. Would love to own something as nice as that, except maybe NOT on the 27th floor. Haha.

@almostoveryou there was an earthquake here a while ago and it could be scary to be on the 27th floor during an earthquake

@sol_cee that's also my concern as the condo we're moving in to is located near the pasig fault line. i hope you're well and safe.

I can't imagine being alone there Mondays to Fridays from 6 am to 4pm. LOL. Had I been a lot younger, I would've enjoyed the solitude.

27th floor seem way too high! Having a house near amenities ; your hub's job and children's school is a good place

Exactly! I can't imagine being alone on that high a floor the whole day from Monday to Friday. I'm excited to try the amenities, especially the gym and the pool. Hopefully the gym will be available by the time we move in.

Yes, thanks. We were indeed surprised by the rental fees. But never mind that. I think what's important is my husband will no longer have to drive an hour to work.

Yes, it's been a dream of mine. I want to at least be able to send warm meals for my daughters at lunchtime.

Oh thank you. We'll be renting for at least a year. We plan to buy a unit maybe in a year or two if things look good.

Will you be selling or renting out your old home?
I prefer midrise condos.

Neither. We will be spending weekends at our bigger and beautiful home in the province. I prefer low-rise condos actually. But this one that we got is the one closest. I'm so happy that at least we got a unit on the 4th floor.

Rental fees for a fully furnished unit is kinda pricey in the city. But we're taking it for the convenience it offers.
