Day 267 (Psalms 149:1-9) Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise in the assembly of saints. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name with the dance. Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. For the LORD takes pleasure in His people. He will beautify the humble with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory. Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand to execute vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment—This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD! What makes you so happy you could sing and shout? What makes you dance for joy? What gives you pleasure? People have many things in their lives to cause joy and happiness: the birth of their children, marriage, job promotions, graduations, trophies for sports, educational events, and any number of things that make people happy. The psalmist told the people to praise the LORD, to sing a new song to Him, and to rejoice and be joyful in their Maker and their King. He didn’t tell them to be joyful and sing for no reason, he told them to praise God because He is their salvation, He finds pleasure in His people, and He executes vengeance on those who don’t know Him. As Christians, you have many reasons to rejoice in God. Every day you should wake up with a new song in your mouth because He brought you to a new day. Before you get out of bed, you should sing for joy because of your salvation and because God will defend you against Satan who seeks to destroy you. Praise should be in your mouth because of your salvation. When was the last time you sang, shouted, danced, and rejoiced before the Lord? When was the last time you thanked God for sending Jesus to be your Savior? Start praising God right now because He is your salvation, and He takes pleasure in you. Let’s pray: Father, I love You. I praise You for You are holy and You love me. You take pleasure in me. You saved me from the pit of Hell and set me in a calm place. You made me for praise. Let me rejoice in You daily. Let me sing, shout, and dance before You. Let me rejoice in Your salvation. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 7 April 2023 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

I'm so glad you spread the gospels again.I seldom dance, sing or shout before the Lord.I guess it's not impolite.Meanwhile,i always thank God to send Jesus as our saviour.Jesus leads the way to the heaven when we're in the most desperate moment.

That's his job. I'm glad you do. I'm finding myself praising God throughout the night and all day long.
