Electronic music pioneer Richard D James is one of the most revered and influential figures to emerge from the scene, as well as one of the most wilfully odd. Type here your impressions about this great and innovative artist!

I love his work. In my humble opinion he is probably the best musician in the electronic music scene. If you like RDJ you should also check out Squarepusher (http://squarepusher.net) and Venetian Snares (http://www.venetiansnares.com). Venetian Snares is not for the faint of hearth and might take some time to get used to ;)

Hiya Samarah. You got some nice tunes there! I added you on myspace with my core news. It's a new blog I have started that is trying to cover the "scene" and promote good music like breakcore, IDM, ragga jungle, dubstep, acid and so on.

Hey! I cant be bored on his music.I'm listening his old works now almost for a year, everyday, the same songs but these are always give me the feelings, thoughts i need. His music is became very important to me,it's just something I can't express by words. I'm not sure about his new tracks though... I wish he could make such music as in the past. but i love aphex anyway :) thanks for the forum.

Aphex Twin is the most important figure in electronic based music. Everything he has put out seems to rival everything else in electronic music by production, beats, equipment (he has an entire collection of vintage and circuit bent synths!). What really made me realize how innovative Aphex Twin really is was the Analord series. Eleven 12'' records each made analogue style (no computers were involved). As for the Analord series, the other important releases that really show his feel for sound and rythm are Selected Ambient Works 85-92 and Drukqs. Drukqs in 20 years will be looked upon as one of the greatest achivements in electronic music. I'm so glad Aphex is still making music, he's inspiring countless artists such as the incredible Aaron Funk aka Venetian Snares by being the master of the beats and always showing other musicians how far a human being can take sound.
