Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing well too. As most of you know that I was seeing a guy for long time. He said better to end things as he can't give up the habit of smoking no matter how hard he tried. We are still in touch as friends or whatever one calls it. I was in vulnerable place emotionally at that time. I got message on Instagram from a very handsome looking guy who is a pilot and stays abroad. We exchanged numbers of watsapp. We were in contact through watsapp. He said that he loves me very much and wants to marry me and all. I believed him. Though I didn't communicate any of such things but just said that I am attracted to him. He messages me while was in hospital of some pics of gifts he bought for me and wanted to give to me and wanted some of my details. I didn't give him and said I can't accept gifts. From that day on, he has disappeared. I just deleted his watsapp number. I am trying not to think about this much as it will affect my health but kinda thing that he might have fooled me. Thankfully I didn't gave him any of my details as can't trust anyone much online to give personal details especially if one doesn't know the person much. Let me know your thoughts about it. Have a good day!! Take care!!

You did the right thing. His sudden disappearance is proof that he was not really serious. Asking for your personal information is also suspicious. It's good you haven't given the information to him. There are many online scams and one must always be cautious.

True indeed. I am not going to think much so wrote here to went out my feelings. I am always careful when online. It's important not to get emotional and reveal personal details as scams happen because of the vulnerability we show online. It's sad and bad that people scam others like this

It is good that you did not give him your details. It was on our news recently of a young woman who was defrauded of hundreds of dollars in that same way. The guy was from another country and professed love. He said he would visit soon but in the meantime he would send her gifts. He sent videos of himself shopping for the gifts , packing them and he told her he also added 100 euros in the package. Then she was told she would have to send a certain amount of money for insurance etc. She never got the package and never heard from him again.

So sad. I don't understand how people can go to such low standards for cheating others for sake of money
