Day 283 (Proverbs 15:20) A wise son makes a father glad, but a foolish man despises his mother. Parents brag about their children. Often, they can do no wrong. They are the brightest children in the class. No one compares with their children. Yet, there are some children who cause trouble. You know them. They were in your homeroom. No one wanted to be around them except other kids like them. They laughed and scoffed at everything their classmates did. They were unwise and brought shame to their mothers. Their fathers didn’t acknowledge them. You can look at what Solomon said and nod your head in agreement. As Christians, many of you were foolish until you met Jesus and changed your life. You brought sorrow to your mother and could not approach your father. Only God can change a foolish nature into one who delights his father and makes him proud. Only God can restore the relationship between a mother and son. Are you wise or foolish? No one is beyond hope when they put their trust in Jesus Christ to change their foolish nature into a wise one. Let wisdom guide your life and restore your relationship with your parents. Then your father will be glad, and your mother will not be ashamed of you. Let’s pray: Father, let wisdom guide my life so that I am not a foolish person who brings shame to my parents. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 23 April 2023 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

I feel like generation after generation are failing their children by not training them in the way they should go. However, like you said no one is beyond Jesus.

When some kids find themselves in trouble - even in jail they blame their parents for not bringing them up right. Of course that is not always the case.

True. People like to put the blame on someone other than themselves. Have a blessed day.
