Day 289
(Proverbs 21:15) It is a joy for the just to do justice, but destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.
With so much chaos and destruction in the world, people hope for justice for those who caused trouble. Often the person committing the trouble gets away with it, gets a light sentence, or nothing happens, and it’s swept under the rug as though it never happened. When people see justice for those who committed the trouble, people celebrate.
Solomon said it was a joy to see justice for those who committed trouble. He further stated that destruction would come to those who sinned.
Christians know who causes the trouble they face. They know God, the ultimate Judge, will bring justice to their lives, bringing joy as they see God bring about destruction on those who cause trouble.
When we leave justice in God’s hands, instead of taking vengeance on those who caused trouble for us, He will always come through for us. God’s justice is always fair and gives us a cause to celebrate.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for coming to my defense and aid when Satan causes trouble in my life. Help me to let You work in my situation instead of going ahead of You and trying to bring about justice in my way. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Girl, when I was younger I struggled with this! I wanted justice when someone would tell a lie about me or bully me when I was a child. My mom always told me to let God handle it. It was difficult, but she was so right. And as I got older letting God handle it became second nature.

You are right since it bothers me that by simply saying that a person who is unhappy with themselves is not worth my time being around gets me in trouble.
