The parval plantations of Birbhum are lovely. Parval is called potol in bengali and is a watery vegetable. It is grown in macha meaning that there are wooden shades created for them. Parval is used a lot in different vegetable curries in bengal. They are grown in this way so that a lot of sunlight is not given.
