The norwesters helped the crops in Bengal.

This year there had been more than two norwesters. They have helped the crops to grow in the countryside in Bengal. But the weather forecasters forecasted a storm named mocha to come from Bay of Bengal. Storms are very bad for crops and create damage to property.

If you are talking about Rice crops, some amount of rains are good but too much of rains is bad for them.

Storms can create a lot of damage to crops which was really sad.
