Creches and individual nannies taking care of babies while mothers are at work is a common scene these days
My mother was not working and so none of here children were taken care of by any nanny
When my sister got married and she had her children it was I who cared for her children. My sister was quite lazy and never wanted to go through the hassle of pacifying a crying baby I was good at it.
Were you taken care of by a nanny or have you played the role of a nanny either helping the family as I did or you were paid for that job? Were your children cared for by a nanny?

My mom stayed home with me until I was three, and then she had to go to work, and I started school. I worked part time at at a daycare when I was 16 while I was going to college. I took care of the 6 weeks to 1 year olds. When I was 18, I only had college classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I was a nanny to two children on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7am to 5pm. That was tougher so I only did that one semester.

@allknowing What stands out to me is when I was a nanny, and I changed the diaper of the 2 year old I was watching along with his 2 month old brother. While briefly distracted with the dirty diaper, he took off, running around the house, me trying my best to catch him. Right about when he was going to jump on the couch with his dirty rear, I swiped him up at the very last minute. I really thought there was going to be a stain on that couch that would never have come out.
Not a very exciting story, but I’ve never had a child almost outrun me before.

That was nice that you did not feel the need to have babies in your family having to be taken care of by nannies
