I was sitting here posting my previous post when I got a text from a lady at church. She said we were having an "old fashioned" potluck tonight and "Whatever your sweet little heart desires to bring everyone's going to love it." We used to just have "old fashioned potlucks" every Wednesday night, but then someone decided we should have a "theme", so it's been "Italian night" or "Taco night" or whatever since then. This week someone forgot to choose a theme or something, so... I dashed across the street to the store and got a couple of packages of cold chicken tenders. I probably should have gotten three, as they were bigger than I thought once I got them home, but hopefully other folks will bring bigger things/dishes. Now I'm just waiting for a text about a ride to church tonight. After I post this I'm going to get a card and write a note to my boss to go with her gift.
