Random Act of Kindness

You may not believe me, but in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia here, there are a few beggars who linger around Jeddah City. At times, you will bump into them while you are walking in the narrow streets or will see them knocking on the glass while you are eating in a restaurant. I am really soft-hearted so even if I have almost nothing in my pocket or wallet, I try and give them something. On two occasions this week I met two on separate days and gave some money. I wonder why they are like this. Don't they have family that can help them? Or can't they find ways to make money? They look fine though to be begging for some help or money. I am sure they have reasons but I hope it is not really out of laziness.

Some actually are doing that out of laziness I remember some were caught in my country at the coastal part of Kenya. They were from Tanzania and were brought to the streets of Mombasa and would beg everyday

But really why though. Well, in the Philippines, some are doing this because of syndicates or there is also cult asking them to do this. I encountered one in the airport one time when I want back home for my annual vacation.

@Neil43 They are everywhere, and more coming across the border as illegals. I am sure they will wind up the same way.

I don't think I am a good person at all but it breaks my heart to see them like that. I always try to help whenever I can.

Yes, you are a kind person Neil. And yes, surely they have no family willing to help them. I am amazed and I do believe you though. In your country, I did not realize you were in Saudi?

Some are doing it out of laziness and others are making quite a bit of money by begging. Some others do need help.

Some do it as a business while some others are genuinely in need.

Yes. I totally agree. I don't understand why others get to be enslaved by some business entities like these though?
