IPL had remained only a tournament for match fixers.

There is very serious match fixing and got up goes in IPL. While the match fixers make money, the ordinary spectators are duped for having some competitive cricket. Every year it is seen Mumbai Indian and Chennai Super King go to the final and either of the two win the tournament. They pump so much of money that the other teams deliberately lose. I find the royal cricketers have really lost class and play in these forms of match fixing cricket. For example Joe Root of England, Steve Smith of Australia should refrain from this type of quick money making and playing below taste cricket. Kary Packer tried this cricket in the early 1980s and failed. India started it and is successful as top cricketers dont have the dignity to avoid playing this type of cricket.

Match fixing really kills the true spirit of any game. As long as it's limited to sports betting and commoners are involved, it doesn't matter much. But if players get involved, the whole soul of the game is killed
.
I have not heard about this recent allegations in IPL. But yes, there is enough evidences that shows that this kind of unethical practices have been there.

thanks Arunimaji it is like bid rigging. If for a particular road contract if the same builder is winning the bid 5 times it raises the concern. Mumbai won IPL 5 times Chennai won 4 times. So it appears that rest of the matches and managed to see that these 2 teams meet each other and one team wins the tournament. It does not happen in world cup soccer. Check. Once it is Germany or Argentina or France or Italy. Not the same team year after year

@sathviksouvik Well, I would not consider that as a basis for any assumption. One team might be in streak of good performance for few years in a row and the other might not have luck for few rows. If the contractor is doing a good business, he is ought to get it every year. We can raise questions if we have strong evidences.
Match fixing is not imaginary but then involving the whole team might not be possible. In one of the previous world cup final, Indian wickets fell like pack of cards. Even the best of the players couldn't perform. But then it's sports and anything is possible on that day on the field. Putting the blame on match fixing for such incidents based on assumption is not good.

@arunima25 thanks Arunimaji Indian team failing in world cup cricket one day is not matching with the match fixing allegations of IPL. India does not play the best team everyone knows due to politics. Players like Shubman Gill dont get chance in one days T20s. Ashwin is given preference in tests and players like Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav are made to sit on the benches. So the weak team faces a strong team of New Zealand or Australia it can lose. But in IPL the same script is there. Out of 10 teams the 6 to 7 teams are made to loose against Chennai and Mumbai. BCCI itself is involved in the got up so evidences are tampered.

thanks Kitycat it is like www wrestling. Those who win get paid those who loose get paid. IPL is just like that. Businessmen like Shahrukh Khan make a lot of money during the last 1 or 2 group matches for losing. I said in my article in the beginning it is a game plan to fit in Chennai or Mumbai. Chennai won the tournament. But the major betting went on at the time when the teams for playoffs were decided.
