Three boaters who were aboard a small boat off the coast of Seven Devils State Recreation Site near Portland Oregon are grateful that thanks to one of the crew members who call 911 to inform the emergency operator that was sinking when waves hit the stern of the boat.
USCG officers from Coos Bay used a helicopter to rescue the three boaters when a diver was able to get them first aid help since they were wearing life jackets on board the boat for half an hour in cold water.
The three boaters were given first aid since they were suffering from hypothermia and they were taken to the Charleston Marina where paramedics gave them medical attention.
The boat sank into the water. The three boaters are expected to make a full recovery.

Some of those coast guard members are something else, especially the rescue swimmers.
