May 31 was my parent's Wedding Anniversary, for seventy years. Both of them are in heaven, at this time.
They were two devoted parents, who worked very hard to support their family. Also, Dad built a safe, beautiful home for them to raise their four children in.
Mom and Dad originally were both farmers, even thought Dad's farmland wasn't fertile or productive. Mom's parents were also dairy farmers, for over forty years.
My parents stayed together for many years and experienced various hard times as a married couple. They lost their first child, a son at birth, which we all know, was painful.
They prided themselves in six healthy grandchildren, who have grown up to be mature, family oriented adults. This is a legacy Mom and Dad fashioned, for them to follow. Family is the power, that keeps this world from self destructing. And God's family is everything to me.

It's good for you that you remember your parent's wedding day. I want to find it out when did my parents got married. I'm curious to know. I have to dig it our from FamilySearch for they're already gone. And they're married in 1927.
