Just a touch of nostalgia, nothing to worry about.

I recall a cold night with a billion stars hanging in a black sky. The smell of the desert carried into the town on slow currents of air. It was after midnight and there was no noise other than the rustle of dry palm fronds in the garden. I couldn't sleep: how could anyone dare to sleep on a night so magical and deep? And yet they did, and while they slept I sat on the roof of Amit's house on the edge of Jaisalmer for a long time wrapped in a blanket and looking out into the desert where it seemed that nothing would ever happen, trying to make sense of myself, the world, India, the stars, the night, being nineteen and all that kind of stuff, and with no success so I gave up and went to sleep, but it was quite a night.

I have spent many full moon nights wandering in my garden when I lived in Latvia, Since I also had company it was always lovely to walk, talk, and dream together,
