I'm Trying Acupuncture

I have an issue that is sort of a women's problem so I can't really share the exact details, but I am trying acupuncture for it. I have tried a variety of other things but so far nothing has worked. I tried acupuncture for it on a recent cruise, but I think that doctor was a bit of a quack and didn't know what she was doing. I don't want surgery, so I decided to give acupuncture a try one more time...well a series of 8 times. I love this new acupuncturist. She is very sweet and uses very thin needles so they don't hurt. She told me she can work on other issues I may be having as well as my main problem. Kinda like killing 2 birds with 1 stone! So now I am trying to figure out what else I can have her work on. I love going to my sessions. I feel SO relaxed when I am undergoing treatment. In fact, acupuncture is more relaxing to me than getting a massage. Have you ever had acupuncture and if so what was it for and did it help?

@jstory07 Thanks. I am thrilled. I didn't want to have surgery and now it is looking like I won't have to.

That is wonderful! I am so glad it is working for you. When I saw a chiropractor in my early twenties he did a small bit of acupuncture on me, but I don't remember if it worked. In addition, the work you are having done is much more extensive than what I was having done. I can't imagine your relief when it began to work for you.

@AmbiePam Wow, I didn't know chiropractors can do acupuncture. Maybe he was doubly trained?

@Kouponkaren He could be, but it was a very limited so maybe he was trained in the very basics. He actually made a great difference with my back adjustments at the time. I came into his office walking with a cane, and two visits later, I didn't need the cane. Unfortunately, it didn't ease all the pain, and the problems got worse as I aged. But the fact remains, I didn't need that cane, and that was a huge deal at the time.

I haven't tried the acupuncture before. Some of my friends tried it. I remember there is a very famous and old acupuncturist in a hospital and my friends try it because of the waist problems. I must say that it is hard to find a good acupuncturist. I hope your acupuncturist will help you solve your health problems. If you decided to try this method, I wonder whether having the herbal medicine will be much more helpful when you are having the acupuncture.
