While my father was living in Florida(as a young boy), his mom and him went to an Aimee Semple McPherson tent revival. They were both gloriously saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. Aimee Semple McPherson was a famous preacher and traveling evangelist. She was originally born and raised in Ontario, Canada. In 1908, she married a Pentecostal Evangelist by the name of Robert J. Semple. Together they shared a vibrant Christian ministry, that eventually blossomed into 400 branches in Canada/US and nearly 200 branches in other locations of the world. In 1932 was a celebration, the dedication of the 'Church of the Four Square Gospel.' It was named from Amiee's vision of 4-faced creatures. This was interpreted as Christ's four-fold role, as the 1)Savior 2)Baptizer 3)Healer and 4)Coming King of the entire world. Their church eventually established a Bible College next door, that graduated more than 3,000 evangelists and missionaries throughout the years. Aimee died at the young age of 57, in Oakland, California. The cause of death was believed to be an accidental overdose of sleeping drugs. Photo:Mine

I’ll have to look her up as I am not familiar with her name. I’m always interested in stories like that. My dad was also saved when a traveling evangelist visited his childhood church.
