Kate and Lauren meet for Sunday lunch every week without fail, especially after the loss of their father - but a knock at the door is about to change everything. A young woman by the name of Jess holds a note with the results of a DNA test, claiming to be their half sister. As the fallout starts, it's clear that they are all hiding secrets, and perhaps this family isn't as perfect as it appears.

I won this book on Facebook from the author.
There is no synopsis on the book but, judging a book by its cover and title, I thought this was going to be a thriller.
As I started reading the book and got well into the story I thought I guessed wrong and that what I was reading was more of a family drama story. Well, it was. Then I thought it was a mystery... and it was. But it did turn out to be a thriller.
This book had me on the edge of my seat. The family drama consisted of a young lady showing up at a family dinner looking for her biological father. The father figure of the family had passed away and some members of the family (two sisters and their mother), refused to believe he would have fathered another child. Enter the mystery. Was he the father? Who is the mother? Let's find out.
How can I tell about the thriller aspect of the story without giving away the whole plot of the story? Hence the reason there was no synopsis on this book, I guess. It was exciting, intriguing, sad, puzzling and some characters were down right annoying.
This book was well written, though there were terms I didn't understand as this was written by a British author, and takes place in Britain. The story was plotted out so well. The characters very well written.
Dang! This was a great book.

Surprisingly, other reviews were not as favourable. I didn't get it. I couldn't go to bed until I finished the book. I do have to agree that with the author having to introduce the characters, their relationships to one another as well as their character traits, it was a bit of a slow start.
