Baked rosogolla, is a special sweet that we can only find in Bengal. It's not available in Odisha, neither in my city. Since I am in Kolkata I took the opportunity to taste some. I really loved them. They aren't rosogolla actually. The sweet is prepared from cottage cheese and draped in condensed milk, what we call kheer in India.
Being here in Kolkata, I will be trying all the new varieties of sweets made here.
During the pujas, sweet shops in Kolkata compete with each other by displaying special varieties at their counter which has a special name and keeps continuing there after.
With more people suffering from diabetes and overweight it has become a trend to use less or no sugar in sweets and Baked rosogolla is one such sweet with minimum sugar and that's the reason I like it.

Yes, it's tasty. My elder son hates rosogolla dipped in syrup but likes this.
