Day 332 (Isaiah 49:13-17) Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted His people and will have mercy on His afflicted. But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me.” Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely, they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me. Your sons will make haste; your destroyers and those who laid you waste will go away from you. People feel forgotten. They believe no one cares about them or the trouble they face. God told His people He did not forget them. He inscribed their names on the palm of His hands. Therefore, they should sing and be joyful because He will comfort them and show mercy to them. As Christians, do you wonder when God will answer you? Do you see only trouble in your life without help? Remember, Satan wants you to feel alone and helpless. He brings trouble your way so you will doubt God’s love for you. When you sing God’s praises in the middle of your trouble, when you turn your heart to God and rejoice in your salvation, God will answer you. God has your name inscribed on His palms just as He has the names of all His chosen people inscribed on His palms. God will go to battle for you and destroy your enemies. They will flee because God is on your side. Rejoice and sing because God is your salvation. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for writing my name on Your hands. Help me rejoice and sing of all You have done for me so that Satan will flee from me because I hope in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
