Another fail?

So yesterday I listed my ebook and turn out to be a failure. I had no views or so on it. Even though eBay has a new promoting program that helps sellers but that didn't work for me. I'm used to failing. It sure hurts but it is what it is. I don't know what to do anymore. Well, maybe write another book and make it even better than the first one. Anyways how's your weekend? What's going on on your side?

I think you might have more success on Amazon; is it possible to sell it there? It's hard to sell books on your own; other Mylotters have done it too, with good to very little success.

@BabeSays That makes me wonder. My sister published a book and sold it on Amazon, and she is not associated with any business whatsoever. Also, a couple of Mylotters sell on Amazon, and I don't think they have anything to do with a business either. I'm going to ask my sister if she had to deal with any of that...

I can't sell on Amazon. I can't fulfill their requirement. They need some sort of code that only people with a business can obtain. And I don't own any business. The officers told me I need to own a business then I can get that code.

@AmbiePam Yes you're right but here in my country, it's different. While I was filling out the form I was asked for the vat number code or something. I posted on Reddit and they told me about the vat office. I traveled there and wasted hours until I got to meet the officer and they asked me what business I want to do. I told them I want to publish a book online. And he gave me a look as if I asked him his kidney He said only those who want to start a business can obtain their number after they register their business.

Don't be discouraged. There are many writers whose manuscripts were rejected several times before they were accepted. and later they became famous. Keep trying and marketing your book. You haven't failed if you have not given up.

I think it's too soon to judge, only one day! What subject is your book, is it fiction or reference or memoir, for example? You need to spread the word somehow, word-of-mouth (in real life and/ or online) is very effective.

@BabeSays I had a look, I think the price is rather high for an ebook, many seem to be just $2 or $3. Better to sell three at $3 than none at $10. Also as others have said eBay is probably not the best marketplace. I don't know much about it but I'm sure there are plenty of people who do. Maybe you could ask @just4him , she is an experienced writer?

The issue is that I don't have many friends and I told everyone about it. My list isn't getting any views although I did use a promotion program on eBay. The book is an adventure book for kids.

I can't on amazon because they need a vat code. I went to the office but they didn't give me since I don't own any business.
