Most of the kids in my class at the CG Daycare have difficulty following directions, like when I tell them they need to help clean up, or go wash their hands, or line up to go outside. A couple flat out tell me "No" or the continue what they're doing like they never heard me. So, I'm trying something to reward them for good behavior. I made a chart this afternoon with everyone's name that's in my class on it. When I "catch them" listening to me or being kind to a friend or something like that, they'll get a star. When we get to the end of the month, I have a bag of little cheap toys and stuff for them to pick something out of for the people with the most stars. I am hoping that this will motivate them to listen. Hoping...

That sounds like a good plan. I feel sure it will work. All the kids will want stars.

Maybe you should start a goodie bag for parents who teach their children to behave... Here's hoping it works! It is certainly a good idea.

Little kids need to be taught to listen. Don't be afraid to discipline, either.

I hope they will learn how to follow and cooperate when they see this chart of yours. I hope it will motivate them to see stars beside their names

That is a really good way to make them obedient. I'm sure they all want to have as many stars as possible

That is a good idea to reward the kids in your care to reward them for good behavior.
