From the 1960s, India started producing coloured films. Films of superstar Raj Kapoorsahab, Rajender Kumarji, Biswajeetji, Shammi Kapoorsahab used to be shot in USA, Canada, Japan, Europe. Raj Kapoor sahab's Sangam in 1964 was shot in London, Rome, Paris. In present days also Indian films have a huge amount of international locations where they are shot.

I’m sure they’re very good films but I’ve never seen a Indian film. Of course I;wouldn’t understand a word.

These are classic movies. Very handsome stars in the picture. Shooting in these locations is where many classic films were made. Prime locations.

It’s amazing how many movie studios film in locations nothing close to where the plot has them set. Of course, these days, more and more producers and directors want authenticity so it seems to be changing. I’d love to see more of real India being shown in movies. I’m sure the local economy would appreciate it too.
