Stopped at Tawas City Park, Today

Instead of having coffee only at East Tawas City Park, I also stopped at the
Tawas City Park. I was surprised to find about 10-12 motorcycles sitting
in the parking lot! No big deal.
This wasn't a gang of bikers, these fellas were simply members of a
motorcycle club. They were older men, stopping for a breather and to use
the bathroom.
And there weren't any ladies sitting on the back seat, as I've often seen.
Myself, I would never ride on a motorcycle, they are too dangerous! When I was younger, yes I did ride on the back of a motorcycle. We both survived

My husband used to have a motorcycle about 50 years ago. I'm glad he gave it up. Much too dangerous is right!

Our friend Ben rode motorcycle with some other men from the church. He got in a terrible accident, it's a miracle that he didn't die. He was hospitalized for over six months!

@LindaOHio When Ben was hospitalized, his wife refused to look at him. Elaine was so sure he was going to die! She wanted to remember her husband, as he appeared before this accident.

I rode a motorcycle with my first husband. It was only for a year, I didn't like/dislike it.

My mother always warned me never to ride on the back of a motorbike - too dangerous she said. So I surprised her by riding on the front instead. I never wanted to be just a passenger anyway, I wanted to be the one in charge! I rode bikes for ten years (I had three). I'm still wondering whether I can justify getting another one now but riding around just for pleasure doesn't really fit with my eco-consciousness these days.

We will never ride around on a motorcycle, unless Jay chooses to go by himself.
