Thanks to the actions of residents in Surrey British Columbia who heard the meows for help on Thursday, the British Columbia SPCA sent animal protection officers to the home to see if they find the missing kitten whose is female.
The animal control officers determined that the kitten was trapped underneath the home in an area that was not accessible.
The animal control officers had to get permission from the landlord to damage the home. The animal control officers received help from the Surrey Fire Department.
The firefighters attempted to retrieve the kitten via a crawlspace. The firefighters had to remove a portion of the house exterior to rescue the kitten who was trapped between the framing and foundation.
After the kitten was rescued by the firefighters, the kitten was given an examination by a veterinarian before the kitten who was named Lenna by the animal protection officer was taken to the Abbotsford BC SPCA where she will be placed up for adoption by a loving family who needs a kitten as their companion.
How Lenna would up underneath the home is a mystery. Good thing the firefighters and the animal protection employees rescued the kitten from a terrible ending.
