June 21st Solstice

Canada
June 21, 2023 9:35am CST
Well today is the summer solstice in the Northern hemisphere, winter solstice in the Southern hemisphere. I live in the Northern hemisphere so I kind of have mixed feelings about the summer solstice. I love that daylight hours are greater, but the fact that the days become shorter from tomorrow onward is depressing. Just need to enjoy the longer days while we have them. Some day I hope to take a trip to Stonehenge and find out what all the fuss is about.

Happy first day of summer! But I'm not a fan, yes long days are amazing but I can't stand the heat, I have a very bad heat tolerance. Hope you get to take your trip.

@Starmaiden the humidity around here is awful and always makes it hotter then it really is.

I don't mind the heat in high pressure but low pressure humidity along with the heat is exhausting.

@Starmaiden Have you ever found a contest offering a trip there? The only reason I ever went to Australia was a contest I entered for the 2000 Olympics. It's a long shot, but keep your eyes open.
