This was another book I won from the author via Instagram. She actually sent me two books. I am reading some quick reads right now to try and get my percentage of books read up. We're at the half-way point of the year but I'm only at 40% of my goal.
The Decision is a novella. I read it in one sitting, about an hour and a half. I couldn't have put it down if I wanted to. It was like an episode of Criminal Minds.
There were no chapter breaks. Just one long 117 page read. The book starts in the middle of a kidnapping. Hardy Jenkins and her baby have been kidnapped. She is thrown into a room where three other men are gagged and chained to the wall. Three men that she knows - First husband and baby daddy, next/current romance, and the squeeze on the side.
Over the loud speaker her captor tells her she is about to play The Ultimatum. She must kill one of these men if she wants her baby back. But then there is a phase 2 and a phase 3.
This book is filled with suspense, tension and excitement. You just have to read it. I sure as heck am not going to tell you what happens. But you will be shocked come the last page.
This is a really quick MUST read. Enjoy!

I just checked the inside of the book and the story is from an anthology called Asylum of Diction (2021). Not sure the published book is available anywhere. Actually, there is an ISBN bar code on the back so it should be available.
