"Sorry my mobile was on silent mode"

Some have the nasty habit of putting their mobiles on silent mode and the caller gets into a desperate mode
It happened to me this morning. Our Electrician's office has a mobile that the receptionist attends to. She does not take the mobile home. There was something urgent that needed their attention She calls me back after one hour apologising as she only saw the missed call as the mobile was on silent mode and tells me that she has already assigned jobs and their staff can only come tomorrow
I am just the opposite I will take my mobile wherever I go and keep the ring tone for the world to hear!!

Sorry you had to go through this. Hope whatever needs fixing was fixed already.
I only put my mobile phone on silent in situations where I need to. Even though it is on silent, it is on vibrate mode so I still get to know if I get a call or text.

@allknowing I thought "mobile" referred to the coverage curve. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it does not.

I just put off before getting to bed and that is better as they know I will not pick up the phone but silent mode is when the caller hearsthe phone ring and that creates a lot of misunderstanding too.
