Sorry for bombarding you with book reviews but I did mention that I am trying to catch up to my goal. I am 5 books behind half way through the year, so some quick reads are in order. I only have one more in my pile I think.

Peace Bloodson always wondered about the origin of her family's curse. Dark tales about the gruesome death of her ancestors, the founders of her hometown Bloodson Bay, are retold around a campfire. The childrend search for ghosts said to haunt the townsfolk. And the abandoned manor at the edge of her family's farm holds mysteries no one can explain.
Peace's curiousity grows as the body count grows. She finds a hidden journal that sheds light on what happened 160 years ago. A murder. Peace and her friends must solve these secrets in order to lay the ghosts to rest and restore the family's reputation. But someone would kill to keep that information hidden.

This story read like a YA as the "investigators" in this story are teenagers. They uncover murders and secrets and find themselves in trouble on more than one occasion.
It was a quick read (short chapters), and I enjoyed the mystery of the story. It must have taken the author a lot of time to plot this one out as those teenagers were going in circles with their clues and assumptions. Great ending to the story.
I look forward to reading the other books in this series - She Knows Too Much, and Little Does She Know.

That's the benefit of the Goodreads app. You have it on your phone and look at all the books you've marked as "to read". Then you know which books you want. There is already a shelf of books that you have read so you are sure not to get a book you've already read. You can also see the star ratings if you are unsure if you want to read them.

@RubyHawk I walked into a used bookstore when my sister was in town and bought three books from the Sue Grafton Alphabet series, when I got home I found I had one or two already, thankfully the store let me return them and gave me two in the series that I didn't have.
