Driving towards the sunrise

We had to make a quick highway trip for some work yesterday and started off quite early - before sunrise.
As we were driving eastward, we could watch the glorious colors and lights of dawn through the front windshield as we wove our way around traffic. There was a surprising amount of traffic even before 6 am! I guess everyone is busy these days!!

I remember when Hurricane Katrina hit the Greater New Orleans area that my relatives and myself had to travel from the North Shore to Metairie which is a suburb near New Orleans before the sunrise. The sight of the sun coming up was beautiful.

That's so pretty. This happened to me when I was on a plane one time but it was dusk, and it seemed to last forever.
