Our neighbor's house was on fire but only 3 people helped

I wish I was joking but unfortunately it's true. I just heard it from my mom. There was a fire that burned down a small house a couple of blocks from us, it was midnight I think that's why we did not notice the commotion. There were many people watching, those who live closest to them but only 3 people actually helped. They were using water form the drainage/canal because the flow of water from their sink was too slow. And when that ran out, they just threw mud. But when help from the officials came, all the people who crowded around the house were first to get snacks. The nerve. Anyway, the family is currently living in the tent setup near our house and had cash aid from the officials. No one got hurt luckily.
