Normally news about fishing is considered odd news instead of the good news on the news websites. Even though I am not into the profession of fishing, this story that comes from Dorchester County in Maryland on Friday July 7 when Damien Cook who is a resident of Rhodesville Maryland went fishing on his kayak when he reeled in a northern snakehead that weighs 21 pounds. Damien was able to take the fish to be weighed at the Kool Ice Seafood in Cambridge which is now a new record for the heaviest fish caught beating the record that was previously held by angler Andrew D Fox that weighed 19.9 pounds in 2018. Good for him. My Dad, brother and my son Dustin all enjoyed fishing.

That's quite a catch. Fishing from a kayak is difficult enough! Enjoy your day.

I am in agreement with you that catching a fish in a kayak is very difficult.

Whoa!! I love fishing..that looks like a Pike Fish. I am jealous of his catch..but more power to him Although I just read this: According to MonsterFishKeepers.com, pikes and snakeheads are not remotely similar and not even vaguely related. A snakehead is a potentially 4 foot extreme predator with teeth, while a pike cichlid is just a long cichlid. Snakeheads are members of the order Anabantiformes and are more closely related to a group of fish called the gourami.
