What do you think of people who claim unemployment and work as well. Do they cost the taxpayer? Is it wrong or are thereany circumstances that are OK to do it in. Would you report someone?

If someone is unemployed and I ask that person to do my lawn for $15, once a week, thats OK. It is hard to judge others. I believe in karma, so I would not report anyone.

Like you I believe in karma and have never reported anyone. I have no problem with anyone making a few quid extra on the side but the people who really play the system with no intention of ever putting anything back really annoy me. Im thinking at the moment of one girl in particular who left her kids with their dad and is living in a council house alocated to her for her children. Shes claiming benefit for them as their dad cant because he works. She gets free everything and is renting the house out for 1000. euro a month on the sly and only paying 120 euro to the council for it.She gets help from the social for all her gas and electric bills and also has tennants paying them. I work full time and she nets 2.5 times what I get a week for doing nothing. I think I am going to report her.Its not right on many levels. There are families who need and deserve the house she has and the help shes getting financially and who are being denied it because of people like her.

Teenal, your spot on. I work 150 miles from my wife and kids. I don't see them during the week. I pay my bills and mortgage. If I lost my job or got to retirement age and haven't saved from my overtaxed earnings I have nothing. Spongers will continue to get everything free and see their kids every night. Plus upon retirement, will get a full pension. SHOP them.
