Kidney profile

Most of us get our blood checked probably on an annual basis or if there is some ailment that requires a blood test.
In the annual blood work I doubt if there is a kidney profile done which is highly recommended. What we go for normally is to check the blood sugar, hemoglobin and the cholesterol levels.
With high blood pressure the first casualty are the kidneys and they need to be protected and a kidney profile will help in determining how healthy they are. The profile contains the levels of urea, potassium, creatinine and sodium. If they are different from the normal that needs to be taken care of and a doctor's visit is called for.
Does your blood work include a kidney profile?

You're absolutely right that regular blood tests can provide valuable information about our general health
