Home UPS is a device that provides electricity when the main goes off. We have had this for many years and it is such a blessing.
We do not even realise the current is off as the moment it goes off the UPS takes over. With this device we have our lights, fans, computer, tv working. The only thing that stops working are the fridges those anyway stay cool for twelve hours or more without current
Load shedding is common here and so it is difficult to live without a UPS - Uninterrupted Power Supply
How often does your current go off and how do you cope?

Very rarely. And usually a clock somewhere blinks when it comes back on. Or, we no longer hear the constant humb that comes with power.

My electricity has probably gone out twice this year, once because of a storm at night, and once because someone was cutting a tree, and their incompetence caused it to land on a power pole. That was during the day, and it took a longer amount of time to fix than when the storm cut off the power at night.

Rarely. When the power goes off, I use a big portable flashlight.
