We have had heavy rains since the last couple of days non stop and when this happens our Tata Play cable connection stops working. I had to reschedule what I normally do and a few hours had to be spent on the pc trying to watch what I normally on my Tata Play. It is time something is done about this as this has been going on for years. We see progress everywhere but I fail to understand why not here. Do you have this issue when the weather plays up?

@allknowing It's a small wireless device through which in internet is connected. You can carry it with you and excess the internet wherever there's network. You have to recharge it just like a smartphone as it has a sim card.

Heiyaa... finally i come here. too many activities on weekend with family so it's hard to go online to mylot. in my place bad weather can make power outage and my phone signal will be lost. it will need 2-3 hours depending on the weather though (the worst happened to 12 hours). but not all place on the city happens like that. if I go little bit further to the city, the signals getting better with nice electricity. it has a different power plant so not all place will be affected the same.

I don’t have this issue with cable, but for the year I had satellite, it was a big problem. It would just look stormy outside, and suddenly I couldn’t watch anything on television. Do you have more than one cable company available?

Yes we have but that would mean getting a new connection - a hassle I would not want to get into Also I am not sure if there are connections that are fine even in bad weather.

@allknowing I understand that. If you have no guarantee, you don’t want to take the chance.

recently Indonesia has launched its satellite in Florida to cover thousands of points, and we have no problem with the weather.

the connection will act up. but if there's a thunderstorm, i prefer to shut off my pc. my neighbour got the tv and fridge fried once due to random lightning strikes causing surge.

Where I live that happens with the old landline phone lines. As more people got cell phones they got worse about repairing the lines

During rainy days, we usually experience low signals here
