Or, on second thought, don't.
Wireless printers are a great thing right up until the moment they're not. That moment came this morning when K tried to print a report for work (she's remote today) and the printer in her office refused.
It was then I discovered, much to my chagrin, that I hadn't taken into account the effects of yesterday's change in our network name and key on our printers. They were still trying to connect to the old network.
HP, for reasons I cannot begin to comprehend, doesn't make it easy to figure out how to get a wireless printer to recognize a new wireless network. Guess who did make it easy? ChatGPT, that's who.
You cannot just go in and change the network through the HP Smart app. You should be able to, but if you can, I couldn't find it. What I had to do was reset the network settings on each printer to factory default and then reinstall them as if they were new. And, because they are different models, the method for doing so differed greatly.
Mine was easy. Hold two buttons for five seconds, let the printer restart, choose it from the list of "new" printers in the HP Smart app, and in a few minutes it was back online.
K's wasn't as easy. There were menus involved and much more button-pushing. In the end, though, the result was the same and now we can both print again.
Ain't technology grand?
Have you ever been frustrated with a computer-to-printer connection? How did you resolve the issue?

I have my own method of resolution. First, I panic! lololol Then I go online and try to find the solution. Usually reinstalling the software does the trick. Enjoy your day.

I got rid of our printer a few years ago. I just stop in the office store now when I need something printed. Less headaches
