Jay Needed to Return Lumber to Menards

Jay bought an order of wood from Menards, that he no longer needs. Back it went, to their lumberyard returns. A friend Phillip, helped him load this extra lumber yesterday.
I asked my husband why this wood was in the back of his truck? His response, it needs to be returned. I road along, simply to sit in the air conditioned cab of the vehicle. It was fairly hot today, almost ninety.
Yes, it was a nice afternoon sitting in the AC, I also went inside Menard's to use the bathroom. It was comfortable inside the store:) Out back, it was stifling hot!
We were in Bay City about two hours, then headed back home. Yes, I read a chapter in my new book, in the Hannah Swenson series. She always nails the crook

How is your Menards store compared to Home Depot and Lowe's? We don't have any Menards in Florida, although the Tampa Tribune reported this past May that Menards was looking to possibly open a store in Florida. I'm not sure they could effectively complete with HD and Lowe's in Florida.

We had problems with both Home Depot and Lowe's, when we needed a new refrigerator. We got jerked around for three months, so we tried Lowe's. When the refrigerator finally arrived, there were no screws to attach the handle! I asked them to just order those screws. The man was told he couldn't, had to either accept the refrigerator as it was, or sent the appliance back! We finally gave up on both of them. We do all our business at Menard's, no problem.

@kobesbuddy So frustrating that something so simple couldn’t be fixed after a phone call. If that happened at my Lowe’s store, I would have sent a crew out to your house with the screws and fixed the problem right away for you.

Yes, the wood was fine, they immediately refunded his money.

As long as the wood appears fine and Jay had his recent receipts. If he came back in two months, they never would have given his money back.

They are good about taking returns, as long as he has the receipt and it hasn't been two months or longer. Then, they won't refund the money. Thanks, my new book is really good!
