Daughter went to the ER yesterday

I told you about my daughter breaking her foot and how bad it was. Yesterday was a week after the surgery to reconstruct the breaks, but she was increasingly in pain to the point where she cried off and on all night, unable to sleep because of the pain. She left a message for her doctor about it and they called to tell her to go to the ER and that they would be ready for her when she got there.
Apparently, they were afraid a clot had formed. She said it felt like her leg was going to explode because the skin was stretched so far. It was later when we got there because she texted me instead of calling me to wake me up. But, we did get there and the ortho doctor showed up, asked some questions, explained his concerns that she couldn't feel her toes. They then proceeded to remove wrapping and cast, cutting off what they could with surgical scissors. So much gauze!!
When they got it all off her foot, they could see that the two main incisions were quite inflamed while the two minor incisions were healing quite well. They covered her with iodine soaked gauze presumably to prevent any intrusion of bacteria and to kill any lingering on her skin.
She was wheeled down to ultrasound so they could look for clots - which, thankfully, weren't there. She came back and put a new wrap and cast on her. After that, she went to xray, but they said we didn't have to wait for those results. I'm guessing they're so the surgeon can gauge the healing process of her bones.
Two prescriptions were ordered for her - a new pain reliever and an antibiotic to prevent any infection that might be trying to start. The image is of her foot in the ER.

Thank you. She's really worried about her job. They've already locked her out of the laptop she used. She was still doing work from home and the temporary disability knew that. But now they've kicked her out saying she's on disability so she can't work. Her second job has no issue with it.
