Good morning. I normally don't post this early, but I had something on my mind. Wanted to post it before I forgot. Anyway here I go. People say cats are creatures of habit. And, I'd agreee. For the most part it's true. They are, generally. However, Chilly my cat, takes it to a whole new level. For context, normally I would've been in bed after taking my medicine. But, I feel asleep on the couch last night and didn't wake up in time to take my medicine. I still took it, but late. Anyway, When I went in to use the restroom, I could hear Chilly purring. I reached over to pet him, and discovered he was already in bed, as if I were there. Even though I won't be. You would think he could telll time or something.

They have their own internal clock. They know when certain things should happen. Nico can always tell when I start my night time routine, and if it doesn't happen when he thinks it should, he reminds me!

Yes. Chilly has proven it time and again. And, while he has his places where he'll position himself, he's not always purring like this morning.

Dogs and cats have a very good sense of time...sometimes better than we do. My dog used to stand on the landing of the stairs around 7 pm because he knew that I always went upstairs at that time to take a nap. Enjoy your day.

You expect it from dogs, cats are known for having a mind of their own.

They all have their routines pretty much figured out. Freddie patiently waits at the bottom of the bed in the morning for me to get up and get them breakfast. Once he eats he needs exercise and he is running around the apartment like a madman at which time I am already at my PC and safely out of his way,

He should have reminded you, and not let you fall asleep on the couch!

He was sleeping with my husband in bed, because my husband goes to bed before me.
