In my experience I have learnt a lot from illiterates at various levels. While I can write a book on the subject I will talk about one of those memories here.
When I was a child we had this guy who came to pluck coconuts, followed by a bath near our well. I watched him how he wiped himself using his towel which I thought was the right way to do it specially the back. The link I have uploaded shows it.
Even today I use that technique if one can call that a technique and I think of him. May his soul rest in peace.
Have you learnt anything from illiterates around you?.

Illiterates may have other talents or skills. One of my uncles was illiterate, but he was very good at making shoes. He sold customer made shoes and raised up five children.

Exactly. No degrees can compete with intelligence and talents.

Some skill need practical experience instead of literacy, practical experience is more important than theory sometimes. Thus, maybe we can learn from illiterate sometimes.

@allknowing This I know for a fact. When I say morons, I mean morons. Illiterates are not morons in general. One can have many degrees and have no sense about life.

There are stories how illiterates have been millionaires using their common sense.
Each time you fill gas in your cycle you must be remembering him.
