I went shopping down town again today. My Mum was due to go for her review, and she was still out when I went out. I put my coat in the trolley at first, but then when I went outside I thought I felt a drop of rain, so I.changed my mind and took the coat back out of the trolley again, and put it on. But then, when I got round Stowe Pool, it stopped raining and the sun came out, so I took the coat off again, and put it back in the trolley! I went round the top path round Stowe Pool again, and then I went to the toilet by the Cathedral.
After that I was going to go and get a few more pictures printed, but as I was just approaching the Three Spires Shopping Centre, I saw Mandy from Church, and we waved and said Hi. I then went and got my pictures printed. I got 5 done again, most of which I'll use to copy when I'm painting. As I was coming back down after getting my pictures printed, I saw Mandy again. This time we had time to stop and chat a bit, and she asked me about my art course and the exhibition. I told her and I showed her the pictures of my paintings on my tablet. She's got something planned tomorrow so she can't come to the exhibition, so she said she was glad she could see them on my tablet. Actually, she's seen more than everyone else will, because she's seen the ones that are not in the exhibition aswell!
After I'd said goodbye to Mandy, I went to the Works and got a book about beginner acrylics, which should have been £16.99, but was then reduced to £5, and was then reduced to £2! I also got another drawing set, with charcoal pencils, a HB pencil, a pencil sharpener, a rubber, a piece of sandpaper for bringing pastels to a point, 2 charcoal sticks, 2 pastel sticks, and 2 blending sticks, a tortilla and another one. One has a point at both ends and one only has a point at one end. The price on that was £3 but then it had a sticker saying half marked price, which took it down to £1.50! For all that!! I also got a box of acrylic paints with bigger tubes in which flick open rather than having the twisting lids. They had 6 paint tubes in, mainly just the basics, red, yellow, ultramarine blue, sap green, white and black. They were £6. So it came to £9.50 in total!
Then I went to Iceland (the shop not the country) and got some Chinese style chicken curry, 2 packets of cereal bars and some strawberries. My Mum gave me a £10 note for the lot, but it came to £10.30, so I accepted the receipt so that I could prove to my Mum that she owed me 30p!
After I'd finished in Iceland, I went up to the big Tesco to get some of those large plastic containers that you see when you come up on the lift, just before you go into the main shop. I got 2 large containers with their lids, and balanced them on top of the trolley. Then I went into the disabled toilet in Tesco with the containers! (I knew I wouldn't be able to last until I got home!
)
After I came out of the disabled toilet, I went and paid for my containers. And then I set off for home. I went St Michael's Road way, holding the trolley handle with one hand, and the containers with the other!
When I got home, I took the containers in first, and put them on my bed. Then I brought the trolley in. I told Mum she owed me 30p, and gave her the Iceland receipt to prove it. I unpacked the groceries, what there were of them, and put them away.
I had my lunch, watched some telly, washed up, and watched more telly! Later in the afternoon I transferred my beading equipment (some of it) and my art stuff out of the old fabric contains that were bowing, and put them in the new plastic containers. The beading equipment from the bottom, larger fabric container went in one of the plastic containers, after I'd put it down where the old large fabric container used to be. The art equipment from the other two, smaller red fabric containers all managed to fit in the other plastic container!
I then folded up the old fabric storage containers, and put them up the corner of the room! I asked my Mum if she'd like one of them to store stuff in, but I don't think she'd know where to put it! Then I lay on the bed to relax after all that work.
What are you lot up to?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day/morning/afternoon/night.

Yes, I did. I couldn't believe how much that book was reduced! It's good too, I've been having a good look at it. I'm enjoying my weekend very much, thank you. You too.

@sharonelton I’m taking our daughter and her husband to the airport this afternoon. They came over from Manchester for a wedding and stayed with us. I’ve also been to our big Tesco and it’s got really inviting toilets. I thought I had gone into the ladies by mistake because it was so clean, fragrant and had a bunch of flowers beside the wash hand basin. I’ll maybe make that a regular part of my visit. So refreshing to find a really pleasant toilet that is a joy to use. So rare.

I hope your daughter and her husband got off OK.
I'm glad you like the toilets in your big Tesco. It really adds to the shopping experience to be able to go to a nice clean, fresh toilet!
