New Year's Eve

United States
December 1, 2006 8:00pm CST
I know New Year's Eve is still a bit away, but I am curious if you have any plans yet? I just bought us tickets to a special bingo night at our local Casino. It sounds like its going to be a lot of fun. My sis will be going with us. We tried to get a hotel room there about a week ago and they were already full, but at least luckily bingo was still open. I'm excited cause I think this is the first time since my husband & I have been together that we'll be actually doing something on New Year's.

Here is what our new years eve consists of. The kids go to bed around 8:30, we start watching the New Years Eve count down on TV... around 11:00 the wife falls a sleep. I am the only one awake for the new year, and I give my wife a kiss while she sleeps.

Every year my 7 kids and I sit and watch tv together to see who can run with the big dogs. LOL Some do not make to to the new year. But those that do, we watch the fireworks and the Times Square ball drop on tv. Its not very exciting, I know. But I am not one to go out and party and perfer staying home bringing in the new year with my kids. And so far, it has worked out well. :)

Thats what we normally do. :) Usually I have to wake my husband up to watch the ball drop. hehe And then I hold Rascal up to look at the TV to watch it drop with me. lol Ever since I have had him we have watched the ball drop, so that part of it not being able to do this year is going to be weird for me.
