TOWBOAT USA to the rescue

As I was about to sit down in the outdoor annex of the RSL mobile office to begin today's work, I noticed a pair of boats moving slowly toward the boat ramp. The lead boat was a bright red TOWBOAT USA boat, the one the water equivalent of AAA. The boat being towed was a pontoon boat, or as they're known around here, a party barge. It is common practice here on the lake to beach your boat near your campsite and tie it off to a tree or other fixed point. You might also set the anchor on the beach and drive the flukes into the sand. Whichever method you choose, it is key to make sure the boat is securely in place. From the conversation coming over the water from the dock, this boat's owner didn't do that. He got up this morning and his boat was gone. No, it wasn't stolen. He spotted it adrift out on the lake. Hence the call to TOWBOAT USA. I can imagine the awful feeling the owner felt when he first noticed his boat missing, and the relief he felt when it reached the boat landing.
